THE Team Behind the Lion

We’re a small team with BIG ideas and a passion for inventing new ways of playing tabletop.

At Nemean we pride ourselves on designing tabletop roleplaying content with an emphasis on clarity, balance, and meaningful player choice—built through careful systems thinking and collaborative storytelling.

Matt Slodziak

Multiclassing in writing, editing, and game design, Matt is a self-described jack of all trades. He brings eight years of storytelling and project management experience from his time working in Hollywood—first on film and television sets, and later in creative development—experience that continues to inform how he approaches narrative structure, collaboration, and creative workflows today.

Matt was first introduced to Dungeons & Dragons in 2020, when he jumped in headfirst as a GM and ran a 16-month homebrewed campaign for eight of his closest friends. Since then, he has focused on creating original TTRPG content, including class design, rules writing, and player-facing systems that emphasize clarity, flexibility, and meaningful choice.

At the studio, Matt’s work blends big-picture thinking with hands-on execution, helping shape the creative direction of its releases while keeping player experience at the center of every design decision.

Chris Slodziak

Chris—known to many by his longtime gamertag Wowadonkey—brings a deeply analytical, systems-first mindset to game design. A veteran World of Warcraft player, he has consistently ranked among the top Guardian Druids in the world in Mythic raiding, as reflected on leaderboards like Warcraft Logs.

His dedication to high-end progression play, rigorous theorycrafting, and mechanical optimization reflects nearly two decades of disciplined analysis and mastery of complex game systems. Thanks to this experience, Chris has a rare intuition for balance and clarity, and understands how small mechanical changes ripple outward and affect real player behavior.

Outside of game design, his professional background in home renovation and remodeling reinforces that same attention to detail. At the studio, Chris applies this precision to systems design and layout, ensuring that mechanics are not only well-balanced, but clearly presented, intuitive to use, and built to hold up under real play at the table.
