The Necromancer Public Playtest is Live!
Master the powers of life and death with the Necromancer—spellcasters who combine their study of the dark arts and incredible willpower to control the dead and unleash the cold, decaying magic of the grave. This playtest document presents a new player character class, the Necromancer, along with its five subclasses. Also included are new creatures, spells, equipment, magic items, and rules for summoning meant to support this class. These playtest rules are compatible with, and make use of, the Player’s Handbook (2024), except where noted otherwise.

The options here are considered a Work in Progress (WIP), not refined by final game design, and subject to change. These game mechanics are usable in your D&D campaign but are not officially part of the game, nor are they legally permitted in D&D Adventurers League events unless otherwise noted.
